Pocket Pigs

Well friends, I got some bad news delivered to me today courtesy of papa bear. For some time now I have got it in my head that some day I would own a little pig. And I was under the impression that the little pocket pigs I found on line were, in fact, little for life. Oh no. Apparently dad talked to one of his patient's parents who works with animals and she said that these little pigs, sadly, do not stay little.

This little piggy went to market,
this little piggy stayed home,
this little piggy ate roast beef,
and this little piggy weighs 200 lbs!!!

Come on...how can you
NOT love this face!

Alas, I have come to the conclusion that I am now only left with one option. I gotta find me an Idaho boy. And fast!

  1. Dad was just cracking up telling me about the conversations in the office yesterday regarding these "little" pigs. Roxanne seemed to know that they didn't stay little forever, too. A pig. Anne Marie...may I remind you about the man we saw in Cambria walking his pet bird in a box on his back like a back pack? You would be that man!

  2. Oh, the disappointment! I'll hope for many pigs in your future.

  3. For some reason Anne Marie, you don't seem the tpye to want to own a pig. :) Maybe it's because they are dirty, stinky, fat animals! Maybe you can find a type of pig that is genetically mutated to stay little!!

  4. Barry had a friend get one of these as a pet and it did indeed end up around 2-250 lbs. Nevertheless, they fell in love with the pig and kept it as a house pet until it passed! It acted very similiar to a dog- just made different noises :)
