Ma Babes

As you all know, I work with little autistic preschoolers.
Working with these little ones, we've had some pretty great times together.
Here are a few events I've had with my babies.
I've been able to do things I've never done before. I feel like
one of the kids going to these new fun places :)

Fire Day!
I'm Ob...sessed with this photo.
He gives the best most intense looks.
He's giving the fireman one of his
"looks" in the first photo.
I think she looks like Yoda!!
Head poking out of a long 'robe'
I do ABA therapy with them to teach them
skills and behaviors. This little one passed
off one of her levels today, hence the
"star" hat.

*Snow Day*
Apparently, her mom carried around a bunch
of hats as they walked around the store
until this little one finally kept one on,
and that's the one they kept.
Personally, I think this hat was the winner
because it is purple.
Nap time before the big event.
Everyday, every...day, without fail, I get
a loud "Ammawee" welcome from this little boy.
He either yells it to me across the classroom
as I walk in and put my keys and purse in the closet,
or if I'm there before him he comes running
into the classroom towards me in the play area
in his "perpetually off balance, might trip over my own
shoes at any moment, haven't quite
figured out how to move" sort of way,
usually falling into my arms if he can manage
to aim his fall the right way :)
~Oh I love Misha~
(I call him my little spartan because of the hat)

Some of us really loved Santa Clause...
...and some of us really didn't,
even going so far as barricading ourselves
in the play tunnel.

Festival of Trees
This tiny boy may be the smallest but has
the most verbal skills.
I always get a
"Hi diidi" from him...his attempt at my long name.

Chronology of trying, trying, to get a photo
with both of us looking.
Psych!
Oh well. It was worth a try :)
At least the giant bubble kinda worked for us.
Pig tails.
Everyday.

These are ma babes...
until I have babes of my own :)

I either get emotional or laugh, sometimes both, every time I watch this because I just love him!!! Little Mishka
