Home Grown

My Miss Mitton left me to move to Seattle. Ganna miss that girl. She was a huge part of my Boston home life.

 ~~~~~
Turlock welcomed me perfectly with this sight
Day trip to the city with mama and daddy-o.
Visited Chase's new apt. Then they let me go snap-happy experimenting with my camera.
So much to learn.
 Went to a fantastic fish restaurant, then spent the last of the evening on the wharf.
 ~Snapshots of home~
 {daddy gave mama a bouquet of her favorite flowers for their 29th anniversary. the last 15 min of his lunch break went down about like this}
Brumsy's games
 Who needs Santa's workshop when you've got Grandpa's?
 Regular home activities ...
(Never fails, my being home marks when it's time to bathe the beast again. she doesn't know it, but she's happier when she's clean.)
Thanks for being awesome, home.
Dairy Fest, VT style
Wanted to go do something fun a few weekends ago (cus my life is clearly so boring normally!), and felt like VT was the place to be.
{When daddy and I were driving cross country, we stopped at every state sign (risking our lives in about 3 states) and took a photo. I mentioned this first thing after getting on the road; that I'd love to get VT's sign. So when hours later, on our way home after a whole day, we passed this VT sign, I immediately hit the brakes while K simultaneously whipped out his phone. Had to smile at the brilliant synchrony of thought ;) }
For one day, we hit up a lot:
-Prophet's birthplace
-Cheese factory
-Ice Cream factory
-Bridges
 Sharon, VT
Prophet's Birthplace
Grounds of Prophet's home where he was born.
Quick stop for lunch at the Prohibition Pig.
Anything with a flying pig hanging over the entrance HAS to be amazing.
Dairy Stop #1
Cabot
Think our group circled this 'tasting table' about 3x each.
Dairy Stop #2
Coming home... life-fulfillment... amazement... delight...
all emotions I felt as I rolled up to my personal Mecca
Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory.
Are you kidding me?!
 As you can tell, I was clearly too busy looking at and eating ice cream to take any photos.
But the memory is forever imprinted on the section of my heart that is never, never too full for more B&J, B&R, or JP.
Perpetual Party
 Just another post that makes my life look like a perpetual party.
~~~Guess that's a Boston summer for ya~~~
Movie nights & photo booth attempts

 Sent daddy a photo of my milk duds that I HAVE to have during a movie...
and got back a photo of his milk duds like 30 min later.
Guess I inspired a movie night!

Miss Mel's Birthday

First we went to a 'fight night' cus Mel's super into boxing and fitness lately. Odd b-day idea, but whateves. So far... no injuries.
There was a slight catastrophe once we got home. An innocent idea of arm wrestling... and a few rounds later what do you have??? A nasty broken arm (not mine).
 So Ty and Emily sent me this photo of them arm wrestling just to hear my forever-more paranoid response around this sport of "don't do it!!!"

~~~~~~~~
More BBQ's @ the boys
 Jake at the grill
 Brent (with his cookie-brownie-cookie 'sandwich')
 A little summer evenin' folk band
~~~~~~~~~
Marilyn invited us down for Sunday dinner
 Gorgeous pie with berries from her yard
WITH a layer of chocolate JUST because she  -- quote --
'knew she couldn't serve me a dessert w/o chocolate'
Bless you Marilyn
 Then he took me to an animal wetlands-ish reserve on the way home
 bc he's good to me and is learning that
this time of evening is my absolute favorite.
It was so beautiful and peaceful

Fourth of July Festivities
Big group went to listen to the Boston Pops rehearsal on the 3rd

The actual 4th...
Spiderman 3D imax
Tri-ward BBQ
Walked down to the river, with I'm pretty sure all the rest of Boston, and waited for the fireworks to start. Got temporarily delayed as they told us to 'go to shelter' as the storm hit. and when it didn't come the show resumed. But oh wait, then as soon as the first fireworks started off, it absolutely poured.

Everything is Beautiful

Some photos I messed around with showing
bits of Boston and around campus grounds.

 Was waitin' for ma girls the other night on their porch, and Mel shows up with a ginormous stuffed bear. "Naturally"I think to myself. "Of course she would."

~How I know I've spent a successful and wonderful evening with Mel~

My first Internship
This is the little boy who reminds me (daily) that I have "puwple ha-ya."
 Back yard BBQ's

Camping

 Allison had a little beef with an x boyfriend...
so we ceremoniously
burned all his letters. hehehe. (Photo above
right.) Awesome. Love this girl.
Hate that she's moving away from me.

And finally ~ I made my first loaf of Banana bread.
I was ridiculously proud.

I'm living a beautifully charmed life out here in Boston.
Sure school's hard, but I have been sooooo blessed with friends and fun things to pretty well distract me from the harder things in life.

-summer BBQ's
-life with pink hair
-holding hands with a good man
-walks to JP licks w/ Ms. Mitton
-surviving a heat wave w/ wet hair and a fan
-walking around the city
-sunsets on the porch
